Mr. Bakhutashvili serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Frontera Resources Corporation and General Counsel, Frontera Eastern Georgia Limited. Prior to moving in-house with Frontera in 2006, Mr. Bakhutashvili practiced law with DLA Piper (2005), Ernst & Young Legal (2003-2005), Georgian Consulting Group (2001-2003) and Baker Botts LLP (2000). While in private practice, Mr. Bakhutashvili primarily focused on transactional, energy, infrastructure and commercial law, as well as dispute resolution, and advised clients on a number of key foreign investment projects in the Caucasus, including major oil and gas pipeline projects in the Caspian region operated by BP. Mr. Bakhutashvili has participated in drafting a number of key laws and regulations forming current legal and regulatory framework for upstream oil and gas operations in Georgia. Mr. Bakhutashvili holds a Diploma in Jurisprudence (LL.B.) from the Tbilisi State University School of Law and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Texas School of Law.
