Lucian Pugliaresi (age 63), Vice President, Government Affairs

Lucian (Lou) Pugliaresi serves as Vice President, Government Affairs. Since February 2007 Mr. Pugliaresi has been President of the Energy Policy Research Foundation (EPRINC), a not-for-profit organization that studies energy economics with special emphasis on oil and analysis of energy issues. Prior to his work at EPRINC, Mr. Pugliaresi served for four years as a director at Petroleum Industry Research Corporation (PIRINC). Between 1989 and 2007 Mr. Pugliaresi headed LPI Consulting, Inc., which provides research and advisory services for foreign governments as well as a broad spectrum of international oil & gas companies. Mr. Pugliaresi has served in a wide range of government posts, including the National Security Council at the White House, Departments of State, Energy, and Interior, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency. Since leaving government service in 1989, Mr. Pugliaresi has worked as a consultant on a wide range of domestic and international petroleum issues. He has written various articles on energy issues published in the Oil and Gas Journal and other journals on Russian Petroleum, Energy Security, and Energy Policy. Mr. Pugliaresi received an A.B. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and performed graduate studies in economics at Berkeley and George Washington University.
